Our companion service
Keatings Premium Care Companions Limited provides non-medical companionship and practical everyday support. Services may include conversation, hobbies, outings and appointments, travel arrangements, shopping, meal preparation, light housework and medication prompting.
We do not provide personal care, including bathing, dressing or toileting, physical assistance with eating and drinking, or nursing and clinical treatment. Medication prompting means verbal reminders only; it does not include administering medication, changing doses or clinical advice.
The support required must be within the scope of our companion service. Please discuss your needs with Yvonne before arranging a visit. The Care Quality Commission explains the scope of regulated personal care in its personal care guidance.
Arranging visits
An enquiry through this website, by email or by telephone does not itself confirm a booking. Visit availability, length, planned activities and any travel arrangements must be agreed with Keatings before the visit is confirmed.
Please discuss any changes, cancellation arrangements and payment terms directly with Yvonne. The particular arrangements agreed for your service should be recorded before visits begin.
Pricing and travel
The companionship rate is £28 per hour, plus travel expenses of 45p per mile when travelling. Ask Yvonne for the expected cost for your visit and how travel expenses will apply to your agreed arrangements.
Urgent or clinical assistance
Keatings is not an emergency response, nursing or medical service. For a life-threatening emergency, call 999. For clinical or medication advice, contact an appropriate healthcare professional.
Insurance and privacy
Keatings holds liability and indemnity insurance, and Yvonne is DBS checked. Ask Yvonne if you would like to discuss these arrangements. Information about personal data is available in our privacy policy.
